Im adjusting my head bearing by doing the swing test and my front end does Not return to center.
No matter what I try it always stops turned to the right which is affecting my ability to judge the proper number of swings and is making me worried something is wrong.
Things I did to try to stop it from happening:
Removed Clutch Cable Completely From Bars & Fairing
Made Sure Bike Was Sitting Level On Lift
Made Sure Wire Harness Not Rubbing On Anything
Greased Neck Bearings
Removed GPS From Handle Bar To Make Sure It Wasnt Throwing Off The Weight
TBW Throttle No Cable To Remove
Brake Line Attached To Front End No Need To Remove
Thats the same as my service manual and exactly what I did. The first page says its special for 2009 but I didnt see anything special? Where you trying to show me something specific that I missed?
Technically it doesnt say that it has to return to center it just says "it should At or After the straight forward position" which mine stops After and technically it says turn the bars to the left which is the way my bike works the best. When I turn it to the right it stops short.
I really appreciate you trying to help just wasnt sure if I missed something in the link you provided?
