Went to the dealer on Sat. to buy a set and they only had the balck ones. Said they would order a set of the aluminum but I can do that. I think they look good.
Ahhh, that looks like the ticket. The one I was talking about was the Finned Headbolt Bridge -Black. But this looks like a nicer fit.How long did it take you toputit on? Can you get the spark plugs out of there without removing the headbolt cover? Thanks!

I have the chrome headbolt bridge on my RK and have them for my Dyna but haven't installed them yet (can't get to that side of the bike until I move it out of the garage). http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
If you look at the silver edge of the black fin it's got a diamond cut edge to it. Kinda looks cool but I never noticed it orknew what it was till theparts guy showed me the other day.

I had to go look in my hawg pen at my scoot because I have the finned headbolt bridges AND the diamond cut fins and I think it looks fine. Never even noticed it and I, myself, put them on. If ya looking that close you aint riding like I ride.....LOL.

THE FINNED ONE CAN BE USED WITH LOWERS. The crome ones contain a warning in the assessory catalog and in the packaging that they cannot be used with lower farings. The note indicates heat buildup as a problem. There is no warning about the finned covers. I am guessing the finned ones provide enough cooling surface to keep the heat down so as nnot to be a problem, the crome covers on the other hand trap the heat and apparently effect the spark plug due to heat build up. This is just my take on reason, but their is NOT a warning on the finned typeand thereIS on the crome cover.
