Default can anyone explain the difference between

Hand Laid and ABS extended saddlebags?

Bad Dad has them and the ABS are 100.00 more....

I would have thought the ABS would be cheaper as it is a one shot deal.

Hand laid means hand laid fiberglass, ABS is generally done by injection molded plastic. ABS will be more expensive than fiberglass.

Get Top Shops fiberglass. Very nice bags!!!! They come carpeted on the inside and very close to paint. Plus they can be repaired unlike ABS. Yes I know you can glue the plastic, weld the plastic but will probably show through paint down the road.

Also Top Shop offers different lengths. 4's and 4.5 will drag. Mine are 3 inch look good and dont drag. Also note the way they follow the body line of the side cover.
