I am looking into a new set of cams for my Ultra 2006. Stock cams right now. I like the Andrews 21 or 26. Been doing some reading on the S&S 551 but S&S has new cam, the 509. It says it is good thru idle to about 4500 rpms. Like to know what are you guys thoughts on this cam? My riding style is two up an solo. Too old to hot rod anymore. I leave that up to the younger guys now. Maybe a big bore set up in the future but happy with what I am running.
hate to bumb an old thread, but i'm having these installed in my Deuce right now.
Any one else have them? The 509's seemed to fit my riding style...I spend most of my time at 70 on a 4 lane high way.....So to be able to have more pulling power from 70 (which is about 2700-2850 RPM on my bike) seems nice....
I'll post again once I have a few miles down the road with my opinion
I have these on my '00 Road King. Definite improvement over the SE 203s I had in before. Dyno'd at 77hp/95tq. I'm happy with that, on an 88 with just the cams & PC3.
cheers,
Steve
