How is that? Due to the effects of counter steering the headlight will be pointed in the opposite direction of the turn.

I knew a RG guy, may he rest in peace, who turned right one night in Glacier NP trying to get back to his camp. Because his headlight wouldn't turn with him he went straight into the dark where a waiting grizzly bear ate him on the spot. Should be a lesson to all.

The posts on RG lights not turning with the big are just ignorant, dumb or just trying to be funny.

A RG and SG side by side on an interstate at night going the speed limit and coming to a curve will point their head lights exactly to the same area as both will be turning with the bike slightly counter steering the same degree ahead just outside of straight ahead.

Now at a stop light making a slow turn when it turns green, yes the SG will turn into but the light will still be sweeping from forward to straight ahead only when the bike completes the turn. The spread of the beam of the RG will cover the area being turned into as well as the SG beam. Most have driven their cars longer at night than they have bikes so I don't see how these fools don't understand how things work.

The Road Glide is the better choice but, whatever model you chose make certain that it is a 2009 or newer. Do your research and you will find that HD made significant and important improvements to the frame, motor mounts, exhaust routing, tires, wheels and added cruise control and ABS as an option in 2009. As a result the touring bikes have a higher legitimate Gross Vehicle Weight and when load and motoring into a curve at speeds it no longer feels like it is "hinged in the center". NO more Wobbles. 6guitars

I have a 2003 Fat Boy which I love and have had a blast on it. The wife gave the go ahead to keep it and bump up to a touring model. I chose the RG based on the research and the fact that none of my friends had one. They all have SG or EG. I couldn't be happier. I used to say windshields are for pu$$ies...I have changed my ways. This is by far the nicest ride I have ever had. Wouldn't trade it for any other touring model.

With the exception of the frame and bigger tire. The 08 has the newer motor mount, cruise and ABS. The 09 hype is nothing more than hype from people coming of bikes from the 90's As for your higher GVWR thats the tire and not much more. My 08 never wobbles
