I never did like that big chrome guard on the front of my ride but I do like the idea of having some drop protection! So I swapped it out for a black Linbar. The Linbar finish is top-notch and the fit was perfect. Simple swap (3 bolts) and wow, I love it! As an added bonus my fork deflectors don't hit this one like they did the stock guard. I had highway pegs on my stock guard that I planned on swapping over, but now that it's on there I like it as-is. I may put them on later, but think I'll leave it like this for now. It does have o-rings that act as built-in highway rests and they are in a good spot for me. Below are a few pics I took today, it was overcast so they're a bit dark.
I've got a Heavy Breather on the way (also black) and a Power Vision from Fuel Moto, that'll be next up on the mods
Does that bar come in closer to the brake pedal as the stock bar?
Reason being, if you have an extended brake pedal it may be a close fit.
Good looking crash bar and two locations for highway pegs if you decide to install other mounts & pegs. Only "form" issue would be the chrome mounts & pegs will be chrome unless you have them powder coated black.
03psd, I paid 300 w/ free shipping for it on eBay. Lindby also makes another bar called the Multibar that has radiused corners instead of the sharp corners of the Linbar, it runs 270 on eBay I think.
wtf6316, Drag Specialties makes some soft lowers for this bar, but the HD-style hard lowers won't work with it.
HDV-glide, not sure if this helps but I measured and my brake pedal is 3" from the bar in the up position and 2-3/4" when depressed. I'm not sure how much farther forward the extended pedals are, but if you know then hopefully that'll tell you whether it's a potential problem or not.
