You can forget potato, potato if you have EFI.

We got there!

I had TDs for several years then installed the 2-into-1 in my sig pic. Picked up about 15% torque in the low/mid range, which was quite a surprise. Both systems were set up on a dyno by the same tuning shop. So while I agree TDs sound great, the ride I now have is smoother and much quicker.

Persistence pays! And Texas stuck with it too.

Started my Harley days on a new FX1200. That thing would tickover by 4-stroking on the front cylinder and 8-stroking on the rear.

Well, "ol' Texas" appreciates "ya'll's" patience in explaining "this here" exhaust stuff. This forum is good for that kind of thang.

But, don't sell "ol' Texas" too short...."Ah've" been bikin' a good while, and picked up a few tidbits of information along the way, going back to 1957, when I got started on a Cushman motor scooter not unlike this one.....

Not a lot of experience like you guys have with Harleys, 'cause most of my bikes weren't Harleys, but "Ah've" owned a few of them too. "Ah" owned these two in the 70's, maybe before "ya'll" were riding? Top one's a "Tour Glide", bottom's a Super Glide.

At any rate, thanks for hangin' in there and explaining the TD thing.

Lol, I've got a 120R and still doesn't even sound like a Harley compared to my old Shovel with drag pipes. The EFI combined with the precise ignition just smoothes all the character right out of em. But it is what it is. Still beats riding a rice burner.

It's our pleasure old chap!

My first Harley was a new FX similar to yours.

Just funnin' with ya rackle and you're a good sport to put up with my BS.
I started 'bout the same time on my Dad's 200 Mountain Cub and 250 Cotton. Then came a Tule-Trooper (like a Tote Goat), a Honda step-thru, a 160 Scrambler and then a Kawi Centurion. And many more after that.
Fun times, those.
