+1. I only hit the passenger footboards when I am backing up or walking it around my garage (which I do with the engine off). But it's not an issue because I don't do either with my wife on board so I fold the boards up.

Floorboards not pegs! (unless they have been changed?)
You can probably raise the rear boards to make her more comfortable. I can't figure out why you are hitting the rear boards. Possibly you need to be lower? Riding 2-up is a learned experience. If you don't want to go over I recommend you learn REALLY quick! Why not take a MSF course or similar?

What can I do?
I had the same issue on my '11.
I ditched the floorboards and bought some Streamliner pegs. Also had them on my '06.

Ive taken MSF- Did you take that class with a person on the back of your 250cc bike in class?

AS i come to a stop an im wanting to put my feet down on the way down I hit her feet/floorboard.. I still get my feet down but I dont like it.. Im not asking about dropping the bike that isnt my concern, my concern is hitting her feet at 5 out of 15 stops..

I did buy the adjustale passanger adjustable pegs by Kurykyn ..Id like to try those out got them for 95 bux on the forum today , Can I just use the adjustable passenger pegs and keep the rear floor boards up during local driving?

With all ive said i am ALSO going to try to put my feet out when completely stopped because im always trying to be a better rider both solo and 2 up.

This is my first Harley and first dresser, Ive only put 1700 miles on the bike doing local 120 miles runs etc.. So im learning.
I had some on my 08 RKC, I wasn't sure what year yours was from the pic. Here are the ones that fit your model. My wife enjoyed them off her legs.

+1 on this. No excuse. You're going to get hurt if you don't figure this out sooner rather than later.

It would probably help you to have a skinnier/more narrow front end of seat for you. This would permit you to have better "ground access"..I believe it is mean city cycle that shaves some foam off from your seat if you ship the seat to them. The removal of just 1/2 an inch of foam from each side of seat would change your leg angle significantly ..A seat modification and a boot with a slight heel or thicker sole should get you what you need.
I would go narrower on the front and not lower because a lower seat changes your leg position while riding and also alters your handlebar height along with also messing with your reach...her floor boards should bother you only when backing out...i avoid back-up with a passenger as much as possible.

I just looked at the picture of your bike and that front seat looks like it rides way back. It would seem that at 5 foot 8 you either have long arms, long legs or would be riding hunched forward to reach the bars and your leg positioning would be all out of wack...but i was just trying to "read" a picture.

Default bike

Its a danny gray big seat, I do have to rech forward for the bars, Im working on changing that but im very comfy with he seat, I tried a corbin and a mustang an the gray is great because the sides are already shaved down so I can get a great wide base stance and it makes me flat footed.

Its raining in NY- Im going to ride the bike in a few days and see if maybe im dragging my feet a bit before I stop but at very very slow speeds this happens.. Like 3 inches before I stop.. Not yards etc..
