Does anyone know if a 2008 touring seat will fit a 2011 tourer? I tried to look in the catalogs but couldn't find part #'s for stock seats, looking at one with a backrest but wasn't sure it would fit, any help is appreciated, Thanks.
I ran an 09 seat on my 08 SG, but it didn't fit right. The frame got wider in 09.
Chances are you can bolt it on, but it ain't going to fit right. I had to pull the seat down with the rear bolt. That made the seat flex in the middle. It also rubbed the frame where it wasn't supposed to and caused a lot of wear on the seat.
I'm confused. When I was looking at HD seats for my 08 SG, it seemed like most of them said they were for '07 or newer touring models. Are you shopping for an HD seat or another brand? Maybe that's the difference?
I have an 08.. pretty much every aftermarket and HD seat says 08 and later on fitment. I bought an 08 and later from C&C... works and looks great. Not sure why it wouldn't work. Maybe an 08 won't work on later for some odd reason, but you can definitely go later to 08.
And i can't say about a wider frame on 09 and later.. I know its longer. I do know my stock Ultra seat was wider then the C&C.
I had an 08 Ultra. Bought a 2010 Limited but the seat was really "empty" - went back to the dealer and swapped out the 2 seats. Still have the 08 seat on the 10 Limited, so yes - it certainly does fit
