You paid a fair price. Do you smile when you ride it ? If so you did well for yourself. I bought a 2009 RKC 2,900 on the clock 3 months ago for $16k.
Cammed , dynoed and chromed included a GPS and I'm happy as a pig in $hit.
Thanks guys,, i have no plans on upgrading the motor, i will a few other things and you'll see my questions as i go. The guy bought it from someone with 700 miles on it and the guy owns his own business and family so no time to ride, thats why the miles were low. I wanted a full tourer, my wish list was cruise, heated seat and grips but i can make do without them. I will be doing cruise at some point. Yes 96 and 6 speed would have been nice also, but i'm coming off my badass VTX1800 so i'm trying to slow my roll down a bit. Are there any concerns i should be thinking about?
Thanks guys

I would head the warnings on the chain tensioners on the cam chest. Mine went out and then you start thinking what about doing new cams. Then it just snowballs. So I would get that looked at just to make sure they are good standing order. Only takes a few minutes yourself.
The other thing I would check as they said is seals, change the fluids in all holes, and check the bearings and tires.
Well i bought a 2006 Electra Glide Touring? 3500 miles paid $12,700 and i thought that was a good price for the miles. Bike is all stock. So do you guys think that it was a good deal? You can be honest...
Thanks

Nice deal on a beautiful bike. As long as you are happy who cares what anyone thinks. BUT if it will make you feel better I just sold my step-dads 06 with 22k miles on it to a wholesaler for $12500 here in Phx.
Eat, Sleep, Ride and enjoy and repeat regularly!
Maybe paid a little too much. Not too bad though.
NADA LOW RETAIL $10,195 NADA HIGH RETAIL $12,300
Not nessasarily true. NADA book is always low. It is used by banks to determine loan to value ratio and dealers to determine trade values. Anyone in the buying market will look closer at KBB which in is listed at $14300 for this bike. Like I said in my previous post I just sold an 06 to a wholesaler here for $12500.
Congrats Steve, You did good. Nice bike. I'm from New Haven,CT just picked up a 1999 electra glide for $8900 with 28000 miles. Good luck with the new ride
