Taking advantage of the 40 percent discount sale, I ordered a 19" clear recurve last week. I got shipping notification the next day and it arrived just a few days later, pretty impressive considering I'm in Japan.
Here are my impressions: All the holes line up perfectly with the OEM mounting hardware so it was a cinch to mount. Optical clarity is excellent, even through the recurve area. The shield's acrylic material is a little thinner than the stock shield but I didn't notice any fluttering at idle or at speed. I'm 5'7" inches with a 30" inseam so I went with the 19'' recurve with the hope that it would reduce the noisy turbulence I experience with the stock windshield at higher speeds.
Turns out that the 19" height is virtually the same as stock. I was hoping the recurve would do more to reduce the turbulence at higher speeds but I still noticed it today on the way to work, but there were some crosswinds so I'll check it again tonight when I superslab it home. Not sure if the 21" would work better for my height, might be in my line of vision too much. Still, considering I paid just $65 I'm satisfied. I figure if it turns out that it doesn't reduce the turbulence better than the stock shield at the present height I'll just cut it down with a Dremel and use it as a short summer shield.
Overall I highly recommend LRS for both the service and product, and doubly so when they're on sale. Great value.
Glad you got your shield! You have the honor of being the first one we've sent to Japan! As for the buffeting, I'm wondering if maybe you are getting some still from around your tank area? It looks like you have fork mounted deflectors from your pic? If so, you might be want to play around a little with the position of those, you can usually get most of the buffeting to stop. Let us know how it goes, we'll try and get you squared away... Maybe try the "hand" test and let me know if you've still got air coming over the windshield, or if its coming in down around your knees

Appreciate your input, Jeremy. I'm now running HD vented fairing lowers on my Road King. I'm pretty sure the air is coming over the windshield but I'll verify this the next time I ride on the highway. One thing is for sure, it's definitely better than the stock windshield in this respect, maybe a 21" would be perfect. I think a friend will be ordering a 21" LRS windshield after hearing my thoughts on it.

Good deal, glad you like the overall shield thats good. We'll just have to get you set up with the right height! Try the hand thing just to make sure, and if you need a taller one, we'll work something out! : )
Jeremy ps- I love Japan, beautiful country. I'm jealous! maybe I'll have to make a "business trip" and hand deliver you another shield lol

Sounds good, Jeremy, will get back to you on the wind flow. And if you ever make it out this way I can definitely show you some awesome roads and scenery.
