Do you have a marina or boat dock that sells fuel near you? They will have non ethanol fuel. Unless California requires off road vehicles to have it that I dont know.

Every temperature change of a few degrees cooling pulls a small amount of air into the tank, where the water is captured by condensation.

I also use Startron as it reduces carbon on the valves over what emulsifiers like Stabil or oils like Seafoam. Seafoam is good if you have poor oil circulation to your valves, ie, vintage engines.

As a rule, I fill up on the way home every trip if the bike is going to be left for more than a few days. If it will sit, even with a full tank for more than two weeks, I add an ounce of Startron. If I do not have Startron on hand, I use Stabil. Both protect adequately with a FULL tank. Startron for maybe 6 months with a full tank, Stabil maybe 3 months.

My nearest 0% ethanol station is 20 miles away. When I can, I use 0% ethanol. I have a friend who stops there and fills 5 gallon jugs, but I do not. With 0% ethanol, all my bikes run like they just had a dyno tune and mileage increases by at least 10%, actually almost 15%.

But ethanol makes people rich at your expense. Politicians get campaign dollars and write off, oil companies dilute their gas and charge the same or more, corporation farmers get subsidies, high prices and guarantneed sales. All you get is lower mileage, higher costs and higher food bills. Thank you for supporting your Washingting politicians, they do live like they appreciate it.

Oh, I do not buy for a minute than I am saving the envirnoment because of 10% ethanol. More CO2 is made growing and making the fule than is saved. It is a shell game and you will never get the right answer.

Of sorry for the rant, this just happens to be one of my "issues".
Preach on brother you are not alone!!!!

Seafoam recommends 2 oz for each gallon of E-85 fuel:

http://www.seafoamsales.com/e-85-fue...-sea-foam.html

I haven't used the product as of yet. My understanding is that the real problems occur when the same fuel is allowed to remain in the tank and fuel system for extended periods. I do use an Amsoil product that is designed to address the problems caused by E-85 fuel on the last fill-up before Winter storage. I then run it a few miles to make sure that the treated gas has been run through the entire fuel system. I haven't had any problems as of yet on my 07.

Where did you guys here that the shell high test did not contain ethanol? In Florida all gas except gas that is labeled for recreation use contains ethanol,

And in Florida all recreational fuel is either 89 or 90 octane.

Last time I bought aviation fuel it was LL100 meaning it containd lead. Did thye change that?

I'm pretty sure there was 87, 100, 100LL, 140 and were all color coded (blue, red, clear) and listed by the flight service stations what was available. Its called av gas because its for aviation power plants.

I have been using the sta-bil ethanol treatment in just about everything I own. Seems to be working good.

http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/stabil/default.aspx

Here is how they advertise it:

STA-BILŽ Ethanol Treatment helps remove water, protects against corrosion, and cleans fuel injectors, carburetors, and intake valves to keep the fuel system free of gum and varnish and deposits. Perfect for use in your everyday driving vehicle, such as your car, truck, SUV or mini-van, and also great for your small gasoline powered equipment -- lawnmowers, chainsaws, weed wackers, snow blowers, snowmobiles, etc. Recommended to be used at every fill up to keep your vehicle and equipment running smoothly year-round. For more information on Ethanol blended fuels, read our new white paper on Ethanol blended gasolines: White Paper on Ethanol Blended Gasolines.

I use Shell 93 octane here in SC. On the pump it says up to 10% ethanol.

Not true, check Canadian Tire and Shell, Super Unleaded 91 Octane. These have no Ethanol.
