I have been having a problem with my bike and I have no idea whats wrong with it...Hoping someone here can help. My bike is a 2010 RG with Andrews cams, PC5, HD Oil Cooler and Thunderheader exhaust. Everything else is stock. This is what's happening...When the bike is hot (full temp), it seems to drop idle sometimes while at a red light/stop sign. Almost like the bike is gonna stall. To avoid this I have to blip the throttle a few times before pulling off. Sometimes it kinda backfires and looses a little power as I pull off. Back in October the local dealer replaced several sensors in my throttle body after they failed. This problem seems to have started after I installed the Thunderheaders, not immediately after, but that was the last thing I did to the bike. Do I just have to have the bike dyno'd/remapped or is it something else? It does not do it all the time which makes it hard to duplicate for someone
I would run it with tuner bypassed and see if it makes a difference. With issue happening afte 2-1 exhaust install, can it be an issue with O2 sensors, feedback, etc?
had the same problem....hot idle rpm was dropping to 650....thats so slow you can hear the crank chirp....well anyway...the problem was the IAC...my ECM had a re-cal proceedure that worked. could have been a dirty IAC...some folks use a cleaner that has worked for them.....could have been a bad IAC....if it happens again will clean and re-calibrate and if that does not work...replace is next. it's working fine for the moment.
