Default Fluid ammounts needed

I can't find where I put my manual, and nothing turned up in the search for fluid levels on the 103".

Can someone tell me the amounts for oil, primary, trans on a 2011 103" touring model?

TIA

best to use the dipsticks as some of the amounts vary.

for example the clutch can hold alot of fluid unless manipulated ( or the motor run briefly) to expel the fluid stuck between the discs. vs a new clutch in which new discs need to be soaked for hours in fluid.

you make sometimes see fluid capacities for 'wet' and 'dry', meaning the above examples

best to fill the primary until the fluid is about 7/16" below the lip of the hole while on the jiffy stand.

maybe about 38 oz, so you need to buy 2 X quart bottles

oil; many of us run a 1/2 or whole pint low to minimize the chances of blowby spewk from the air cleaner ( and the dipstick being blown out while accelerating).

again, check on the dipstick after adding 3.25 quarts, run the motor and check again. complete capacity will vary depending on how much oil might be in the oil cooler, how much did or didn't drain from the motor--- how hot was the oil, how long did you let it drain etc. capacity of the oil filter..

the HD "hot check" is run the motor to operating temperature. put on jiffy stand, let idle for one or 2 minutes.
turn off motor and check on the dipstick using the "hot" marks

tranny is pretty free of concerns. check the tranny end cover bolts, the new spec for torque of them is 25 ft lbs- some loosen and the cover can leak, esp the 2 bolts that hold the exhaust.

hard to get a wrench on, so use a 1/4" screwdriver bit, butt end first and turn that with a open end wrench

tranny takes about 32 oz

As was stated before, always shortfill and add to the stick.
