I have a 2011 Street Glide, when i start it up when it's cold it lurches forward. if i start it in gear it lurches forward. If i hold the clutch in and try to push the bike it wont budge. I had it to the dealer three times and going again on 6-4 they just now said there is an issue with some of the street glides but no recall. Just wondered if anyone else had a problem.
How many miles on the bike? Has it always done this? Mine used to do the same thing when it was new. It could be a clutch adjustment.
You will get some replies about switching your primary fluid to something that will make it better but I don't remember which ones they are as I only use the HD Formula+.
I know nothing of this "issue" and I think a lot of them do this.
After a bunch of miles, my bike doesn't do it anymore.
When the bike is cold and you go from neutral to first gear with the clutch pulled in the bike will naturally "lurch" forward a little as the slack in the primary and drive train tighten up in preperation to move. Nothing to be alarmed about. In fact, if mine did not do this I would begin to worry.
