Default Is this a new record?

I just put a new front tire on my bike to replace the stock Dunlop, which had more than 29000 miles on it.
Even though, I start to feel some cupping while making turn, but I think I can put at least another 500 miles on it.
Let see how long the new front Michelin Commander II will last this time.

That is pretty amazing. Are most of your roads concrete or asphalt?

I don't think any roads that I have been on, are concrete.
In the last 29k, a few hundreds were on gravel road, too.
There is no question that the Dunlop HD tire has a very high quality, except the price.

Sounds like a record to me!

My stock Dunlop front tire only got me to 5500 miles. That's when I noticed a bunch of cracks on my sidewall.

My dealer took some pictures and sent them off to Dunlop. They ended up replacing it for free.

You may not believe this but this is the truth. I have an '04 EG Classic, bought it new. I changed the front Dunlop D402 at 53,567 miles. The tire was not bald or cupped, just wore to the point where it probably wouldn't have passed inspection. There was thread all the way around, it was wore evenly. I was surprised myself as my experience was to get about 1 front for every 2 rears. The first couple of rear D402's I got about 15,000 on each. They were wore well beyond the wear bars.
I have since switched to Dunlop E3's. I get about 16,000 on a rear, the present front tire is only my second front tire and it has 31,500 on it and will easily pass inspection. Though I doubt it will last near as long as the first Dunlop on the front.

I don't know what you are, but there is always something new to learn.

Cool!
I am not familiar with the 04 EG models, but as you said, the front and back tire are the same size?

I would say 30,000 mile is about average for a front tire on a dresser.

I see or feel any cupping at all on my tires and they are coming off ASAP. I'm not trying to set any mileage goal for tires, I think about mine and my wife's safety first.
Try explaining to your kids that mom is not here but I got an extra 500 miles out of that tire.
Sorry to be so negative but you only have two tires under you..........
