Default highway 6 in Nevada
I rode Highway 6 between Ely, NV and Tonapha, NV in 2009 - about half way there was a small private house/store that had ONE pump - don't remember the name or exact location.

Planning on making that trip again on Sunday - anyone here know if that gas stop is still there / the name or location??

I think I just found the name.. Black Rock station - now just need to find a number or if it is even still in business

Lots of empty miles in NV, never made that particular ride, just be prepared, HWY 50 is great riding....Luck be with ya!

Just rode it in April. There is nothing for gas. What a great road! Hardly anyone one on it.

It is in Lockes Nv. but I think it is closed. Might see if there is a telephone there.

Try "Lockes, TONOPAH, Nye, Nevada 89049" on google earth or maps. They have a pic on googlemaps of the Blackrock station.

Mike, Made the run from Ely to Tonopah on May13. There is a sign as you leave Ely on route 6 for Tonopah that says "No Fuel For 167 Miles" it is accurate. Plan ahead!

Just did that ride Memorial Day weekend. It's 175 miles from the gas in Tonopah to the next gas pump. Great ride though.
