Default Headers - Mapping

I have a 2012 Streetglide.
I put Kuryakyn pipes on, screaming eagle air breather system.
Had it mapped and found it did not have the sound that I liked so I put headers on it to eliminate the catalytic.
I have put approx 300km on it... sounds good & feel I have a little more horsepower but I have a little hesitation in the throttle sometimes before it warms up.
Sparkplugs are a nice tan colour.
I am being told I have to put a performance kit on it and have it re-mapped. Is this true or can I just have it re-mapped?

...and after it warms up ?

---- reading plugs went out with carbs- really.
modern efi, ignition and fuel additives make ALL plugs look lean by the standards of the 1960's-70's photos in the repair manuals of that time- which are often re-posted online. ( only major malfunctions like blown rings or seals will show on plugs, but are easily seen at the exhaust

make sure you use antiseize paste on the threads to keep the steel and aluminum from bonding and stripping out the holes.

dyno's and remapping are cash cows for dealerships. invest in an auto tune solution it will pay for itself pretty quickly.
