Does anyone have any pictures of a 2009 tt touring install?
Directions suck and photos suck worse.
If I could see this it would help.
I understand the trans pan mount.
I don't understand how to mount the large part on the other end......
Thanks in advance.
The install directions they have on line seem pretty clear as far as what pan bolts have to be removed, rear exhaust hanger but as far as the front their not that clear. Let us know if you notice a difference with it. Pricey little thing but if it works as advertised it may be worth it.
Just installed one on my '10 RK yesterday. Your right, the instructions are crap. The large part your refering to bolts to the cross member . Seperate and keep the bolts in the right order. The small part goes over the top or the crossmember and the large section goes under and is bolted up. On the right side the bolt is removed and the nut with the built in square washer is removed and it is placed on top of the crossmember with the round portion facing down into the hole in the member. One thing I noticed was the hole to drain the transmission wasn't big enough for a 5/8 socket to fit into to remove it so I had to file it larger. Sorry I can't explain it better as it isn't one of my strong points
I thought the instructions were ok, it kinda just fits in once you are under the bike. The 2 peices sandwich either side of the crossmember which must be too flimsy to just bolt to.
I didn't take pics of my install, but I can if you are really stuck.
NEL'S I so appreciate your help.. I was just today looking at my true track to put on my 2010 ultra limited and I couldn't figure for anything what was the deal with the big piece except surely it has to be seperated and done about as you say... Thanks a bunch.. I think my V&H power headers crossover pipe shields will come awful close to the pan bracket like I may have to trim the shield some.. I do experience a slight wiggle when I am going at high speeds and crossing lanes or experiencing some lanes that are rutty or grooved.. It is kinda unnerving so I am hoping this stabilizer will quench the rear wiggle I keep feeling at high speeds

I am in your shoes.... I think NELS has explained my biggest question though.. I would like to see some shots.. AS I just said, I think I will have to do some modifications to the cross over exhaust pipe tho.. Or the shields anyway.. Sure hope this takes the wiggle away for this kind of money it would be worth it.. If it works..
