Stock battery on my 06 was showing signs of weakening so I also replaced it with a Big Crank from Batterymart.. Signed up for the emails and got another 10% off for a total of $88 bones shipped. Bike starts like a champ now, couldn't be happier.
My manufacturing date is 08/05. I've got 65K on the bike now and the starter hesitates a second. I was going to do a voltage drop test to see if how bad the battery is but for $88 I'll buy the peace of mind.
Anyone clean the terminals on the started when they changed their battery?
I would like to know the specs on a battery before shopping. My 06 ultra still has its factory battery. all I can find is 300 amp starting.
However, I just replaced the battery on my 82 FLT and it was only a year old - $163 for an HD battery. I have two Drag Specialties tenders and both bikes are connected when not in use. The old FLT went through two HD batteries before we realized my original tender did not support AGM.
Amongst us, are there any experts on batteries - would like to know how much better gel is to AGM and would appreciate any specs one might have.
