Default New Back Cylindar Head

Can you believe it? I've only had the bike 4 weeks and had to have the rear cylinder head replaced on a new 2012 Ultra Limited. My warranty covered it entirely but dang, 2000 miles on it? So glad the warranty took care of it. It looked like who ever put the motor together decided the spark plug had to go in quickly and stripped the threads out. So far everything else has been okay but that should not be a surprise on a new bike. Wish me luck......I love the bike all the same.

Every now and then something goes wrong, at least its under warranty and you're getting a new one, could be worse. I hope any other issues you may have will surface soon while there is a warranty, and they will all be resolved, BTW, have you had to change the voltage regulator?

I'm glad you got it fixed, and sorry for the inconvenience, but I see these threads a lot, and I'm amazed that people think that these bikes are put together perfectly each time, HD make hundreds of thousands of bikes, mass produced, slamming them out the door as fast as possible, there are hundreds of things that go wrong, some get caught , some don't. thats why theres a warranty. things are going to break, not work correctly, and simply fail. harley is not all that great on quality control, and they are trying to make a buck, not a perfect bike. so don't be surprised, if other things fail at low miles/ even high miles. Its just nuts and bolts
