Thumbs up I agree BUT

While almost $700 for a helmet is a bit spendy, but if you don't have a "typical" shaped head and it fits you well, all you have to say that if you do go down and that helmet saves your life, consider it $700 well spent!

This is the helmet I would like to own, but I think you might like any modular helemt better than a standard fullface. I like HJC helemts a lot of bang for the buck, but I want a Evoline.

I have three full face helmets, a gmax, an HJC IS16 and a Nolan N90S. As stated already fit is the important issue and I found HJC and Nolan to be similar in fit for me. All though all of the helmets are comfortable I must say the Nolan is by far my favorite, most comfortable of the three and setup for blue tooth. It is also modular and I do like the flip up chin feature. Also the pull down sun visor is much darker than the HJC.

I very seldom ride in anything but a full face, I like the noise control a full face offers and even in very warm weather I find them comfortable if I lift the outer clear face shield.

Good luck

"1.) I got a pointy cranium like a bean, so most skid lids are hard to fit me, and
2.) I need the peripheral vision; i could wear my prescription sunglasses with a clear shield."

If you go full-face, you are going to sacrifice a little peripheral vision -- that's the nature of the beast. One grows used to it and learns to "head check" when necessary.

As far as helmet shapes go, here's a page that let's you compare helmets based on head shapes:
http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...met-shapes.htm

A "narrow" head -can- be accomodated. I'm the "long-oval" type myself. I'm currently using a Shoei X-SP which has fit well through the years (11, which is old for a helmet!), and have found that the Arai "Signet-Q" series is a suitable replacement. It's way more comfortable than anything else I've tried on (and expensive, too).

Try on some high-end Shoeis and Arais, just to see how they feel (keep in mind that Arai has different models for different head shapes, the only you probably want is the Signet-Q model). If you can find a different brand that's cheaper and fits as well, probably worth spending less. But once you've tried on an Arai, you may be hooked!
