Okay, i am a few days from installing a pair of 14inch Meathook Bars and painted inner fairing. Do I really need to change out the "one piece top clamp" or will using the stock OEM clamp do the job? I will however be installing the poly risers which I know for sure is a must but I am not 100% sure on the clamp. If the clamp needs to be changed then which one is preferred?

When I did mine I didn't change out the riser bushing (Mine were fine). I would change out the clamp only if you have the two piece. Mine is an '11 Limited and already had a one piece clamp, don't know which year they started that (I know my '05 and wife's '07 had 2 piece). Change it out, one piece MUCH sturdier.

Yes the clamp is a must, your bars will crack between the clamps if you don't do a one piece.
They are not that expensive so why not?
