Alarm problem
Replaced both battery in the Fob still nothing . When you hit the start button the headlight shut off a sec. Try to get the code , turn switch on hold both turn snigal and nothing . Any help ...????
this pin is entered by turning on ign. then quickly holding BOTH turn signal buttons down until the display flashes.
select numeral with the rt, enter with the left ( just like high score on a video game).
anyone with an alarm should set and know their pin.
if the fob is lost/damaged, battery fails or there is a radio frequency proximity problem such as caused by:
cell phone
gas pumps with speedpass thingy
lots of other bikes with similar alarm type.
microwave oven
mike

to retrieve the code that is set, you must have a working fob with you. ignition: on-off-on-off-on. then press the left turn signal 3 times, then the right one once. your existing code will be displayed in the odometer. you can then change it by cycling through the digits with the left turn signal, and entering it with the right. (no zero is available, so make sure you have a number with no zeroes in it)
to enter your code, ignition: on-off-on-off-on. then press both turn signal switches at the same time. that will put you into override entry mode. it also works if you just turn the ignition on, then immediately press both turn signals, but the above procedure is by the manual.
the problem you bud was having could have been caused by something interfering with the fob communicating with the tssm. you can push the bike a little bit away and try again, or do it the lazy (easy) way, use the override code. i much prefer the easy way, these touring bikes are heavy sumbitches

after using the override code, ride the bike 100 yards away, and try to start it again. odds are it will fire right up. also, don't keep the fob in the same pocket with your cellphone.
