My stock seat doesn't start bothering me until about the 300 mile mark. I usually just stand up on the boards and have the wife scratch my butt about then.
I liked how my OEM RKC looked, but hated how it fit. Now I like how it looks AND how it fits.
+1 on Mean City Cycles.....
Call Allen and he will fix you up...best hundred bucks you'll EVER spend!!! I have had him do a dozen or so different seats and he has never let me down..... Harley could make them right if they wanted to....Just like a hundred other things they could make right the first time if they wanted to......
Nobody listens to me, but after 20k miles, I'm still sold on the HD Signature Series Touring Solo sear w/Backrest. Also have the Sig Series touring pass pillion for when my wife is on the bike. She's always been comfortable back there.
It was a bit pricey, but worth it. I gave away my stock '09 RG seat cause I knew I'd never use it again.
I posted the seat issue awhile back, first harley uses 1/2 inch of white foam that compresses as soon as you sit down. Don't buy any seat just take your seat to the local uphositery shop and have them put in 2" of high density foam , thats what I did and the seat will be just as good or better than any seat your gonna buy. Again don't buy a seat, your seat is okay its just the foam. I ride about 500 miles a week , I have a 2011 ultra limited with 20,000 miles on it. After new foam the 300 and 400 mile rides were pain free ,and I'm 68 years old. When the shop showed me the foam that came out of my bike I was upset. I payed alot of money and got 1/2 " of cheap crap.
I really feel like the upholstery is stretched to tight. Its like a sling. My *** isnt even touching the foam in the back. I do know an upholstery guy, I will have him check it out.
