You need to find the wire for constant power, it is usually red and connect it to a non-switched power source. I don't know which wire to tap in to since I am running the Hawg Wired hand control adapter and it supplies the power connections for my head unit. But that's the deal... One of the wires is connected to a switched source or not connected at all.

The memory wire is probably not hooked up from the back of the radio. If that is the only thing you do not like about it, then it is a simple fix. Like ^sublime^ I too am running the Hawg Wired set up (with a Sony head unit) and they have some nice equipment for these types of set ups.
