I like the 940's on my Street Glide. Easy to adjust depending weight load.
I'm 210-15 and I don't have any problem with them being to soft/stiff. Yes I had to adjust them a couple of time to get it just right but it's easy to do.
Money well spent IMO.
Put them on a week ago and don't like them at all. Will be returning them next week. As others stated, too stiff and I just can't seem to adjust them to my liking. I thought about sending them to Progressive to have the springs changed but for the money I paid I don't feel that I should have to.
Trying to decide if I want to spend the money for Ohlins or give the HD Premium ones a try.
I have had mine on my 2009 Ultra, love them, better than stock. I am 5'8" 190#, very comfy. I just did trip to Wisconsin 2up w/trailer had to give them 2turns. Good bang for buck IMO.
had them on my 2010 Limited. As already stated way to stiff. I'm around 200#. I tried adjusting them all sorts of ways. Ended up selling them. I wished I'd sent them back to try lighter springs in them. Oh well more money wasted on B.S. that didn't work out on the bike.
I have them on my '12 Limited and I originally purchased the 12" version, which is 1" lower than the stock shocks. I weigh 240 and with the bike loaded and with the wife we were continuously bottoming out. I called Progressive and they asked that I ship them to them with a copy of the receipt and that they would swap out the springs with the heavy duty version and change the shock to a 13". Basically, changing to the 440's. No charge, was covered under warranty. I am quite impressed with this new setup and the ride is much, much better than the stock air shocks. Call Progressive and see what they can do to improve your setup.
I have the 940s and the ride is much better than Hds lowered air shocks.I wgt around 220 and they are backed of all the way.I did have a set of Ohlins2s the 1 inch lowered version. They rode very sim to the 940s and on bad bumps a bit better.I sold them mainly because of Having to use spanner wrenches every time my wife rode with me.I was told by progressive that the 940s carry a lifetime warranty to original buyer.
