I need a measurement for the Rider backrest mounting hardware for a '10 Street Glide. What I need will require removing the seat and measuring from the fender where the backrest mounting hardware is bolted to the tip of the mounting hardware. This would be the Rider Backrest Kit #51631-09A. Appreciate anyone's help.
Have a "safe" 4th of July weekend......
Are you going to make your own mounting for the kit?
The 52596-09A is required to mount the 51631-09A to your bike.
If you are making your own , I'll try to help somehow.

Mick,
Thanks VERY much for your response. I'm mounting the backrest on a 2010 FLHX. I think that I need to use the 52589-09A mounting kit. What I need to know is the height of the mounting kit from where it bolts on the fender to the highest point on the "mounting kit". This of course would have to be measured with the seat off.
Ok I get it now , I think.
The 51631-09A is the backrest itself.
The 52596-09A is the adjustable mounting kit for the backrest.
The 52589-09A is the non adjustable mounting kit for the backrest.
I checked , and both mounting kits are for your year bike , so it must be the difference.
I can still measure if you like.
Mick
