Default White smoke

I have a 2012 street glide purchased in Oct 2011. I road to Daytona had Reinhart true duals put on with a thundermax computer. (the computer that self
adjusts) I was told I would never have to purchase another EFI computer and can make changes to the engine with I problems.
I recently put on the screamin eagle heavy breather (elbow). Since that time it over heats, and burns oil like crazy when I ride thought the city, it also blows white smoke out of the left tail pipe. (sitting on the bike) I checked the program and
It's set for a heavy breather. Went to Harley and they told me thundermax is garbage and I need to purchase the screaming eagle computer. Can someone shed some light on my situation before I drop a ton of cash I fix it. My next move is to call Thundermax for advise.

A hd dealer will ALWAYS tell you that anything other than screaming eagle is garbage.

1.) white smoke is burning oil

a.) on acceleration is worn piston rings

b.) on decel is worn valve guides

2.)black smoke is too much gas for the air- "too rich" a mixture

white smoke says you are burning oil and have a mechanical problem which the tuner cannot remedy.
It "may" have played a part in this problem but unlikely.

and as you already know this is in the rear cylinder ( left side smoke)

*** possible that the installer mis installed the new air cleaner blocking the banjo bolt passage from the heads or rear head to the breather, causing oil to collect under the valve cover and pushing past the seals

Thanks mike... I am
About to disassemble the air cleaner look through and get the proper torquing for the breather bolts. Coulda been something there. Thundermax asked me to connect and link to them my results. But the problem is probably the install (me)

Very unlikely your air cleaner or tuner has much to do with the white smoke/oil consumption.... my bet is that you broke or rolled a piston ring...... the timing with the new mods is probably coincidence............

Even on a new bike? How would that happen? Riding too hard?
