Default Fairing mounts on FLHX
I know this was discussed in an earlier post, but I can't seem to find it. Noticed my windshield vibrating while stoppedduring my ride today. Pulled the outer Fairing off when I got home. BothFairing mounts have broken at the top, at the 90 degree bend next to their mounting bolt. What a PITA to change out. Gonna let the Dealer fix it under warranty. I am wondering, can this bracket (which is made from extremely thin material), be upgraded? After market? Any info. will be appreciated. Thanks ....

make a bracket out of thicker stock

If the replacment at HD is as thin as original, I will. I remember hearing about a "beefier" design after market. Not sure how to find it.

Can you give me an idea of how many miles you have on yours? That way I can keep an eye to see if mine starts to crack or break. Thanks.
