I bought the SE Race tuner module for my 08 Ultra. Virtually no HP difference for almost a grand with pipes, Hi flow air cleaner etc. Should of put slip on mufflers on it and bought myself a new set of tools.
I've often felt about the same. Mine ran great and got good gas mileage with the XIEDs. Then I went with tru-duals, SE air cleaner and a SEPST tuner, and couldn't tell a whole lot of difference. Now I'm running (see below) and plan to go back to tru-duals and add a 31T front sprocket and hope to call it quits.......we shall see!!!

Installed 50 watt X 4 radio on my SporTour. Yes, built fiberglass boxes for the front 6" speakers and installed the 6X9's in the saddlebags, sounded good till 75 mph.
In doing this, I overloaded the stator & it blew so I had to replace it.
After quite an ordeal getting the new parts in Israel I am afraid to Puck with anything further.
PS; Removed everything and have it setting on my fireplace mantle as a: WHAT_NOT_TO_DO_TO_YOUR_BIKE_AWARD.
mini beast airhorn absolute p.o.s! Mounting stud broke from the weight of the horn, fixed it! Then the rivets holding the horn broke, fixed it! Finally mounting strap holding compressor to mount braket broke! Lasted & put up with it for 15 months! T-Bag windshield bag sucked too, rubbed a mark on the painted fairing & then started cracking!
Oh nuts! I just installed one of the mini beast horns. After reading your post, I'll be keeping an eye on it. This has been a very informative thread.
$600 saddle bags! Couldnt stand the look and who needs to haul that much crap around.
Paid $950 for mine for the Deuce, they were great. You're not a touring kinda guy?

Not the stuff I bought. I'm not that impressed with them.

Best recent upgrade has to be the wild one 14" apes and hard wiring the iPhone to use the sena Bluetooth for tunes!
I didn't know eBay made tangibles!
Had a aftermarket chrome switch-housing with the HCC 13" apes. One of the bolt housings broke off. Also the radio switches didn't seat well. Replaced it with an OEM HD part, works great.

Truth is, if people would keep their tire pressure up where it supposed to be and also monitor the air cleaner cleanliness, they would feel like they were riding a new machine all the time. It takes lots of HP to push under inflated tires down the highway. my 2 cents.

Agreed, or they have a lousy tune, or no tune at all.
HD Digital Temp and dipstick. Lasted not even six months. Thought maybe I needed to replace the battery. Took it apart and all the wires came unattached.
I got this one too...my only bad buy....got it replaced once by the dealer...put the original back in the second time...wasn't accurate when it worked...
Investing in "passenger to rider" communication headsets on my Ultra. Stupid idea if I would have thought about it first-Now she wants to "communicate" more
DOH!
My worst fear is not the texting, sleeping at the wheel drunk driver, it is that my wife will start bugging me for these. I'll steer my bike into an oncoming semi if I'm forced to buy this!
I put pipes on the bike to drown her incessant B.S. out...
Hawg Wired speakers PN SX502-60 sound great with the engine off and the bike on the side stand. At 55mph and above they were slightly better than stock and not worth the $180 and time to install.
The HD headlamp 7" visor bezel turned out to be a $42 POS. I could never eliminate the gap on the bottom. Looking straight at the headlamp the inner diameter would warp out of round. Below is the result of the last attempt to fix the issues with that POS.
