Default Speedo Security light??????

This is the speedo with the tach and MPH/KMH # 70900072....The question is on the red security light. Will come on from time to time when riding and then go out. Anyone have the same issue????? Going to change the battery in the FOB but don't think this is the cause.

I have never seen my red light flicker while riding. I would try the battery in the fob as you suggested, if that doesn't solve the issue i would bring it to your local dealership.

Ive had mine come on occasionally. It would stay on after starting the bike, it would stay on until I restarted the bike later. It has only done this when its been real hot out and if I tried to start the bike before the fuel pump cycled and the security light went out. Im guessing it could be an indication that the fob battery is getting low??? I had mine crap out a thousand miles from home before.

The light is also electrical fault indicator.

It was real hot and in stop and go city type traffic. I'll see if I have any error/trouble codes stored up.

Firezapper...I couldn't find anything in writing that its used as a trouble indicator. Just a security light.

I thought the same thing and the amber engine light was a code indicator.

Do you have led turn signals?? They dont draw enough, bike thinks bulb is burned out...security light comes on. Or, maybe you have a bad connection, or bulb going out??

LED turn signals front and rear. Matter of fact, just changed them out and 2 weeks later had the Solid light problem.

In the owners book it said something about more then 4 sec on the module needs service.Any ideas on what it requires for service?

I do my own but never had to service a security module. I pulled up a P55P6 code??/

What do you think?

Pulled this error code b1121....left turn output fault. LED's working OK and bright. So, you think its just a false signal????? Thanks

Clear the codes then reset the security by turning the ignition switch to ignition and pulling the main fuse. Turn the ignition switch to off and reinstall the fuse. Make sure you have your FOB with you. Ride around for a bit and see if the codes come back.
