I bought a 2008 Street Glide about a month ago, and it has rinehart exhaust that is on it. The bike sound is not very loud, what is the best way to change the sound without buying new exhaust? I also have a 2007 Street Bob with V&H long shots and it sounds great.
I've got an 03 with the true duels and they are not very loud either. A buddy ripped out his baffles and it sounds good but I don't want to lose back pressure.
If it has the stock head pipe you will get more sound by going true dual. If you don't want to buy a new pipe, fulsac sells a kit to cut your stock pipe and convert it to true dual. They actually work well.
Remove the original Rinehart Baffles, and install the Big City Thunder Baffle that is correct for your head pipe. Corrects the backpressure loss from removing the original baffle, and gives them a touch deeper rumble. Very Loud.
