CLICK when turning key to lock on 2012

Default CLICK when turning key to lock on 2012
I noted that when I turn the lock to Fork Lock on my new 2012 I hear a CLICK. Is this normal ?? And if so, what is causing the noise ???

I should have been more clear, the CLICK appears to be coming from the gas tank/ appears to be a electrically click.

The click is the lock popping out, if you ever take your ignition out you'll see what I'm talking about.
A small click is normal.

I heard the same on mine the first few times I tried it. Its gone away after using it a few times, but don't acctually use it much.

I believe what you are hearing is the locking pin engaging the frame to lock the steering. It's spring loaded and makes a pretty loud click.

Don't worry-- what you hear is not electrical. It's just the lock pin dis-engaging.
