Another rectifier question
Ok guys here is one for you. 2007 Road King custom. 48k miles. Bought it the end of April it had 40k miles then. I just received two new CE rectifiers today. Installed the first one. Fired up my sled. 12.5 vdc. Ok so I go check all the connections. Fire it up again 12.5vdc.
I unplug my stator do the checks continuity between phases and nothing to ground. I start the bike and at 2k rpm I am getting 50vac.
Now I figure has to be bad connections checked them again and they are all good atleast sure seem to be. Start her up again 12.45 vdc. Now I check all my fuses and any other connections I find nothing. Everything checks good.
So at this point I am baffled.
I am hesitant about trying the second rectifier. I had to wait a week to get these.in am I missing something that is right in front of my face? I am not a newbie when it comes to sleds and I am an electronics controls tech for 15 years so I understand what I am looking at. I am going back to look for a connector on the bottom of the frame that has been pulled apart or anything. I am waiting on my service manual to arrive it was ordered last week so I am kind of blind to some things.
Any thing anyone can throw my way that may be the least bit helpful I would appreciate.

how many rpms is the motor turning when you get readings of 12.5 VDC?
above 2000 ?
is battery good ?- a duff or discharged battery will put a load on the charging system.
terminology:
you have a "regulator"- it does have a rectifier component ( converting AC to DC voltage), but most will better understand the term regulator
