Congrats!! Black denim looks good on that bike. I have followed the reccommended break-in on some bikes and ignored it completely on others. Never had a problem either way, I think Harley is just doing a little CYA when they tell you about a "break-in".
Nice, congrats! After the first 50 miles many say your good to go as far as seating the rings. I waited to 500 miles personally fwiw. Again, congrats that's one nice bike!
Yeah really chompin at the bit to take it up north. I've got to head up to my cousins house on Saturday (about 200mi all freeway) and back the same day. I should have about 200+ miles on it by then (all following break in procedures).
I'm really debating whether to drive the Mustang as planned, or just jumping on the bike.
Still have my '91Heritage. After a week in Northern Ga on the SG the Heritage felt VERY small and a little unsafe): when I rode it today. Congrats on a great looking bike, big fun ahead.
I've been on an Ultra for going on thirteen years and yesterday I just put down a deposit on a 2013 Limited Anniversary Edition, however itis nice to hop on a Softail and take a run through our country roads and stop in at a one of watering holes for a beer and chat with the guys.
If I had to have ONLY one H-D, it would probably be a RK, but I'd have lower fairings for road trips.
