Just an FYI, there are several threads discussing this and DAWG posted the Service Bulletin on the replacement program in June. That was before the kits were even mailed to the dealers......
Glad you finally heard and hope you get it replaced soon......
I just opened my mail today and got a recall for my 2012 RK.
I called Harley about it...they told me it was not a recall and that it had expired. I think they are being dishonest...but enter your Vin in the recall safety recall..then call them if it is positive.
How can a recall expire?? If the part is defective from the purchase of the bike, is it not still defective even 3 years later. They are supposed to check your Vin whenever they work on the bike. I think it's nonsense..

It wasn't a recall, it was a product reliability bulletin. They had a bad batch that only affected certain build dates. If I remember correctly it did say it expired 2 years after the date the bulletin was issued. The filler neck bulletin on the 14 Limited says the same thing.
