Those that wear FF helmets don't have to keep adjusting their sunglasses. But the head can get tossed around with bad airflow.

Had a windshield on a metric that buffeted so bad my vision blurred, worried about what it might be doing to my eyes so I took it off - no more buffeting. My back and shoulders wouldn't take the wind any more with forwards (I'm 65), so I've endured mild buffeting on the Harley, but the next time it's on the jack I'm putting mids on, and if I can't get rid of the buffeting, will just take the windshield off the Harley, too. A two hour ride with severe buffeting just makes me feel worn out. I've put a lot more miles on without than with a windshield, but I'd like having a windshield if it didn't buffet.

yeah, its not just wind in your face. I have 2 bikes with no windshield or fairing and the wind never bothers me at any speed. On my SG with the batwing its a different story. Most times its ok but if the wind is coming at me at just right angle it is a violent buffeting. My sunglasses are all over the place, my damn shirts trying to lift up in front and balloons out...just no fun. Its about impossible to wear a half helmut as the wind come up under the fairing feels like its gonna pull your head off by the chin strap. Its the next issue I'm going to address as I'm tired of it.

It get's very old after a 2,500 mile trip that is mostly interstate. But i still love the street glide. Just have to try and make some changes.

No Ben, I don't agree.

If you don't know the difference between buffeting and normal wind in your face, then you don't have a clue about the problem.
