I've only had my Harley two years, but don't understand all this talk about buffeting. What's the big deal? lots of posts about the wind coming up here or there and folks doing mods and changing windshields, etc to stop the buffeting. I mean get a cage if you are that concerned about air hitting you. JMHO do others agree?

I loved my 4" windshield on my street glide but hated to have to keep pushing my sun glasses back on. Changed to a Klock Works 6.5" shield and that’s all it took for me, I do love the wind that’s why I ride. But you have to do what ever you need to make the bike comfortable for you.
I f$ckin hate my windshield,it is the ugliest thing I've ever seen! but it sure makes highway rides alot more enjoyable and im addicted to the bag thats on it, thats where i keep my keys, cellphone, wifes cigs etc.

Judging by your avatar, you don't have a batwing which is generally the source of the buffeting discussion/complaints. It not about wind in your face, it's about your head shaking so violently that you can't even see anything in your mirrors. You've never experienced it because of your bike configuration so, no, your opinion doesn't count on this one (it's as relevant as the opinion of a cager). JMHO.
I get buffeting on my RKC when I have my windshield on. It got even worse when I got a shorter windshield, but a tighter fitting helmet helped a lot. I still get a little bit but it's tolerable. Those who say buffeting is no big deal obviously never felt the real deal.
