This is on my list for the RK and I'm not sure what advantages the 4 point have over the 2 point. If I'm reading correctly neither the chopped pack nor the bar require the 4 point hardware. Unless your planning on a 2up tour pack I don't think the 4 point will be used, is this correct?
Backrest only = 2-point docking hardware
If you ever want to add the removable luggage rack or tour pack, then you will need the 4-point docking hardware.
Do yourself a favor and get the 4-point docking hardware.
If you buy the 2-point now and later decide you want a luggage rack or tour pack, you will have to buy the 4-point hardware and take the 2-point hardware off.
yeah, I just got mine, so the wife only sat on it while parked in the driveway. we have yet to get a chance to road test it, but she says it seems fine.
It has 4 reclining positions, but honestly i think the first two, maybe a bit too forward but I guess it depends on the person. The reclining feature for us was just an extra, I decided on getting it based on the price.

2ropes,
After reading your post again, you are correct.
You only need the 2-point docking hardware if your going to run a "solo" tour pack.
The 2-point docking hardware (along with the solo tour pack mounting plate), will position the tour pack in the solo position right behind the riders seat.
The 4-point docking hardware (along with the 2-up version of the tour pack mounting plate) is used if you will have a passenger.
