Took my 2011 Ultra Limited in for 10K service and the tech said that one of my front brake rotors was warped. I don't do any hard driving or braking. Seemed funny that just one side was warped. Not covered under warrantee. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem
On my 2010 Ultra Classic, I had a front rotor warp that the dealer replaced under warranty. I don't remember how many miles I had on it, I can remember that I had the bike for about 2-3 months. If you couldn't feel the pulsating, I'd be wondering about the dealer. On mine, I could really feel the front end pulsating when the brakes were applied.
I have a '11 RGU and it developed warped (both) front rotors. The dealer replaced both front rotors with H-D floating rotors and new pads. I paid the difference between stock rotors and floating. It was covered unnder warranty. I believe the service manual states if rotors are .008 or more warped, it is out of specifications. DO NOT let the dealer tell you they can not be covered under warranty. Mine were done at approximately 18,000 miles.

Dealer replaced both of my rotors under warranty at around 25,000 miles just before I hit 2 years while under full factory warranty still. I do have the extended warranty, but it wasn't used since I was still within my 2 year original purchase date. Good luck with your rotor and PUSH THE DEALER TO REPLACE UNDER WARRANTY (a warped rotor is a safety issue)!
Called the service manager back and he thought maybe i was right so he called HD and they responded that the one rotor was to far out of tolerence so it must be bent and not warped. So its not covered.
