Some of the cheapest chrome plating on the market. It will peel and buble after two seasons of riding or less. And don't even get me started on their Hyper-charger!!
I have their deluxe neck covers, top engine stabilizer bracket cover, trans interface cover, cover that goes behind the rear cylinder, chrome street sleeper ac, and throttle body servo cover and I haven't had any problems with any of it. I mean obviously some of it gets hammered by road debris especially the down tube covers that come with the neck covers. Not much I can do about that.
My bike is stored inside when not in use and I generally keep it very clean except on long rides where I get caught in the rain and hammered by bugs. I usually clean it up on each end of the trip though.
I do agree that some of their stuff is gaudy as hell though.
What really gets me are all the chrome covers. Frame, regulator, fork legs, on and on. All covers invite rust, are potential rattles, and add weight, IMHO. Others do it, too. Kury seems to be mostlyall about covers
Hahahahahahahaha........To me Kuryakyn = Goldwing. But when you mentioned Victory....holy ****ing ****!!! You are sssooo right!!! God their stuff is ****! ISO grips...please!!! Those things are beyond ghey.
I'll admit, I have a couple of Kury parts, I'm like most others in this post, and am not impressed with their quality. If you ever go to a rally and look at the display bikes in their tent, they are far beyond gaudy, too much fake stuff on a bike is a real turn off for me, looks like garbage.
The only good and practical item they've EVER made, was the small heat shield piece that connects the vertical front head pipe heat shield (at the bottom) to the lower horizontal pipe heat shield. It covers up the3" bare pipe section the factory left behind (what the hell was the MoCo thinking anyway?). That is the ONLY piece I have, and or will ever have.
