Thanks for the replies! I didn't even think that the chrome from the Ness bolts might have peeled off. I don't think I cross threaded them as I was able to hand screw them in to a certain point and then just needed to tighten them all the way with the tourque wrench. Guess I'll find out when I have the SE intake installed. When I get back I'm going to bring the bike in for the 10K service and also have them put on a Fullsac X pipe (I think) and also put the SE A/C on. I have a TTS Tuner and I think that I have a map that will at least get me around until it is properly tuned.

Just a thought but are you sure you found metal shavings? The reason I ask is maybe what. Ame out was some of the old hardened locktite. You "might" not have a problem at all. If you do use an oil swab to fish out any more shavings clean that out too so that the. Sw thread locker has clean metal to bond.
