First off I know there are a lot of slip ons for touring models ! Would anyone be able to recommend a set of slip on that have performance and not much louder than stock. I have bought the reinhart 4's and v&h twin slash rounds and both are louder than I wanted. Thanks goodness I could sell the sets that were bought. Any suggestions, just don't like the noise anymore on long trips.

Rush slip-ons with the 1.75 baffle. Makes it sound like a Harley should at idle but you don't hear them on the highway until you crack the throttle.

S&S oval mufflers. They are called something like SPO and you can add an extra baffle if you want really quiet. I have the earlier version and they are great!

I'm happy with the HD Performance Touring mufflers 65259-00. These came on the 03-06 CVO touring bikes. These are fairly quiet, but they did not hurt my performance. They have a decent low growl, and they are EPA legal. I don't know if you have any upgraded cams, but if these pipes were on a stock cam 88" bike they may be too quiet for most people. But for my bike with the Andrews 21 cams it is perfect for touring.

I use supertrapp supermegs.

These have an owner adjustable disc system which can be about as loud or quiet as the owner wants.
Adjusted in minutes.
- and constantly top rated for performance for over 30 years on harleys

The Screaming Eagle Fatshots and Nightstick are made by supertrapp and can be adjusted as well, just have to replace the 'security screw' with an allen head screw

Check out www.americancustom.com
They have a system that uses your own pipes. I have their mid-rumble baffles and pleased with the sound
