Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find the answer for my specific bike. I had Dunlop Elite 3's on my 2007 Street Glide before and loved them. I'd like to order a set of bias ply Elite 3's (not radial) for my 2000 Ultra, but guessing the correct sizes seems to be a challenge. Since HD seems to want their own size, I have to figure out what's the closest size to that. Plus, I'm hearing that at some point the drive belt got narrower allowing wider rear tires on some models. It's all confusing.
Anyone know what the proper sizes should be for 2000 touring models? Also, to throw a monkey wrench in the thread, what's the deal with the American Elite tire? Is this comparable?
the 130/90/16 or the mt90hb-16 are basically the same size tire. I just replaced mine on my 2000 ultra with avons. The front and rear tires are the same size.
