Just brought the new flhx home last saturday. Course the weather is to cold and rainy to ride. I did manage to get about 65 miles in on sunday. Enough to know I will be needing another windshield. Been looking on ebay at Fast Aire, Sin City Cycles, and one from Baggers Only. The fast aire and the sin city look the same to me. Both kinda squared off on the sides. The baggers only is more a half moon shape, which I think I like the looks of better. But the fast aire style is ok too. I just need one that works. I'm 5'11 and am looking at the 8" shield, dark. I think I will be able to look over the top still. Does the half moon shape work as well as the fast aire design? Please help me out with your experience on what works. Thanks.
hated the 4"....got a 6 right off and love it....just put a clearview 8" with recurve, man its sexy...havent ridden on it yet but just holdin it up to the 6 looks to be an inch taller...recurve is sposed to direct wind up...the 6 had the blast at my hairline...i'm 6' tall
Ditto the 8" Clearview w/recurve. I'm 5' 10" and it is just right, allowing me to look over the shield. Also check the Cee Bailey SSC's if you want your WS to look like a piece of modern art. They're bizarre, but reportedly functional. Caveat: They won't work with WS pouches or cases.
I'm 5'10". The9" Fast-Aire is my winter shield.I look over the top no problem. In the summer, I may go back to a 4". Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 windshilds to find the one that you like best. In the picture below is an 8" Fast-Aire. It was a touch to low, causing the blast to hit my visor.

Can someone post a link for the "Recurve" windshield? I would like to see what these are.
