After reading the OP's post I decided I've waited long enough. Just installed the Brukus kit on my saddlebags. Very easy install, looks like a quality product. Feel much better about keeping my saddlebags!
Does this saddlebag secure kit work for the FLSTC too?
No, but the FLSTC bags are fastened much more securely to begin with, no risk of them falling off. They are harder to steal as a crime of opportunity as well, more complex and more work to remove
Coming back from Stugis stopped to pee. Looked down and the right saddlebag was gone! Second time that's happened the first time was a couple of blocks from the house. This time it could be anywhere across the state of Minnesota!
Had to vent!
But the dealer in Lacrosse let me have a used pair of cop bags for $150.00 so that eased the pain.
Just checked your profile and this is your 799 post so your not a noobie. In all the time you've spent on this forum you've never seen any topics about how easily the bags come off with the factory setup. You could have prevented it for just a few bucks spent at your local hardware store. Honestly, if yourve read those post and didn't do anything about it then you have no one to blame but yourself. Maybe you had to vent because your pissed at yourself for doing nothing, either way it sucks and you better do something now because it's likely to happen again. It must be human nature to be motivated after the fact. We've just been robbed, we better install an alarm system. Maybe it's just the mood I'm in but I'm not not feeling anything.
How long intakes to remove burkus saddle bag locks? I remove them often when clean my bike..is it a hassle?
Since I have them on my own bags, I can say it takes less than a minute per bag. It's as long as it takes to unscrew a screw with the torx wrench.
Also, just a reminder that we are offering Free Shipping through Labor Day, tomorrow - Sept. 3rd, on all of our products. That is standard domestic shipping for U.S. and Canada.

I hear what you're saying , but honestly, if we replaced every part on our bikes that others have reported a problem with on this forum, we'd have to practically rebuild out new bikes before ever riding them.
I'd venture to say that the majority of bags that fall off were not installed properly. Zeus fasteners are actually quite reliable when properly installed.
Now from the theft perspective, I'd agree that there are better methods for attachment but you then compromise the quick-release feature of the factory set up.

I agree there is nothing wrong with Zeus fasteners but obviously a lot of riders have a problem with them. The OP is not the only one who has lost a bag while riding. Sometimes your better off with a little less convienace in life and face the fact that even though it might be inconvenient bolting them on will prevent them from falling off because you dont know how to install Zeus fasteners correctly and maybe bolting them might help prevent theft. Evidently a locked lid can still be opened by prying the metal latches on the backside of the bags. So bolts alone won't stop a thief, the Brukus kit requires a special tool. Either way you loose them is an expensive proposition that could possibly be avoided.

I wonder what the weight's are of all these bags just fall off? Could the culprit for lost bags be due in part to over weight bags; I believe a sticker in my bags indicates 15lb max. With all of the tools that I see people carrying the bags could easily be overloaded.
