If you bought that from us, give us a call. We were caught off guard by the change too. Anyone who pre-ordered was taken care of with a longer cable. If not, call us anyway. We'll be gad to help if we can.

The change included swapping the 7' cable to a 3.5' cable.
There is now a saddlebag Quick Release cable for saddlebag installs.

The change has increase the price for the entire system if you want to get to the bags.
On the upside. The bag kit is a quick release, so that issue has been resolved.
And the module has a better pigtail with no need for the old connector block.

We have adjusted our pricing to help.
We're now selling the module (with 3' cable) at $250
The Saddle Bag kit is $55 (MSRP is $80)

Total price increase from our end over the original version is $35...but you do get the quick release and still better and cheaper than Harleys

Is there any provision to retrofit the original model with the pigtail to eliminate that big black box? And does the saddlebag cable kit work with the original model (probably not)?

If you have HK CB/Intercom feature and use it I can understand but otherwise why keep the HK system? You can have so many more features HD Radio, Bluetooth & iPod USB controls for $200 with a excellent aftermarket Headunit. I bought 6' USB iPod cable on eBay for $3 and iPod is in my saddlebag out of site out of mind.

When does $100 stop?....when you sell the bike. HD = $100, and that's if you get out cheap.

you can try the alternative wiring. It's on their web site. I am going to give it a shot. will report later on results. By the way has anyone tried it yet

Connector box cannot be eliminated on the older models.

The saddlebag kit will work with the original units
