Default New road glide

I've been seriously looking at the RG now for several months and decided I want one. Are there any issues with the 2012 models to be concerned with?

There's a recall on the regulator, I would personally wait till the 2013 are ready to sell which should include it. Notice I said should.

I'd wait till the 2013s are ready to sell (2 weeks) and then buy a 2012.. better time to negotiate... as for the regulator, if its a recall, the dealer has to fix it. I'd bring it up and have it taken care of before you even take the bike home.

I'm waiting til after the 20th to buy mine. I'll get a lower price on a 12.

I hear on the 2013 RGs the headlights will move with the handlebars........

Wait until the 13s drop, as said you may score a great deal on a 12 OR you may see a new color you like more

Yeah, I plan to wait on the 13's. Hope I can work a deal on a 12 but if the new ones catch my eye, who knows. Thanks for the info. Sounds like besides the regulator recall, all is well.

2012 and 2013 I am guessing will have very little difference.

Issues

1. RG (Custom) Toe Nail Windshield
2. RG (Custom) uncomfortable seat

Issues

1. RG (Ultra) Barn Door Windshield

Fix ($200-$400) Windshield change average

Issue for both

Cat in the Head pipe is HOT HOT HOT.

Fix. De-cat the pipe $50 fit. Replace with a de-catted pipe $130. Replace with aftermarket head pipes or true dual. $500-700

Stock handlebars are the worse!

Fix. $60-$300 bar swap.

In the first 3 months of owning mine I have spent about $500 on functional mods. All of which are noted above on my 2012 RG Ultra

Great Bike though
