I just replaced some 10 year old SE's with some like new Klock Werks WFB 4" mufflers. The sound was really bad with the SE's and after replacing the slip-ons with the Klock Werk's the sound is still not right. There are old True Dual headers that I have no idea what brand they are (bought the bike used and the past owner bought them on E-Bay but does not know the brand) can the header make that much difference in the sound? If so I am looking at replacing them for the good old deep Harley sound that I hear on most other Street Glides. I have a 07 Street Glide with K&N air cleaner and a FuelPak controller. If a change in headers is what I need I will by some new head pipes ASAP.
Replaced old Headers with Dragos Ceramic Lined True Duals. Sound is much better with no popping and less heat. Also the exhaust is a little stronger, the Mufflers are also a few DB's louder than before.
Selling my Klock Werks WFB's because I have tinnitus in both ears from working in a Metal Fabricating shop back in my early years. Need softer lower DB pipes.
